Duties and Functions of an Armed Security Guard

What are some of the functions and duties that an armed security guard will perform while on the job. One method that is instilled in many security guard officers today, is the practice to detect, deter, observe and you work method. Security guard patrolling are not required to make arrests, however they do have the authority to make a citizens arrest if need be.
